SLEEVES & FLAPS: Sleeves are sewn into the back of the screen and do not add any height to your screen. Flaps do not add any height to your screen.

America’s High-Contrast Gray
Golf Simulator Impact Screen - Triple Layer
Bring detailed course images and a more comfortable sound experience to your indoor golf setup.
America’s High-Contrast Gray features heavy-duty multi-layer polyester/poly-spacer construction, designed for detailed HD/4K projection and to help reduce golf ball impact noise.
High Contrast for Rooms with Some Ambient Light
Practicing with some room lights on, or in a space where you cannot completely block outside light? America’s High-Contrast Gray screen is designed to help preserve perceived contrast—the difference between light and dark areas of the projected picture. This can help course images look less washed out when some ambient light is present. Picture quality also depends on your projector, image size and lighting conditions.
Whether you are building a new home golf simulator, finishing a garage installation or replacing an existing impact screen, High-Contrast Gray combines a detailed projected picture with construction designed for repeated golf practice.
Key Features
- Gray triple-layer projection surface designed for indoor golf simulator use.
- Heavy-duty multilayer polyester/poly-spacer construction for golf-ball impact and projection.
- Designed for detailed HD/4K images when paired with a suitable projector and properly adjusted setup.
- Sound-dampening construction helps reduce the sound of golf-ball impacts.
- Helps preserve perceived contrast where some ambient light is present.
- Built for practice with real golf balls.
- A choice of screen heights and widths to suit your installation.
- 2-inch black border on all four sides for a clean, framed appearance.
- Black grommets approximately 12 inches apart along every edge.
- Optional pockets, rear tensioning sleeves, screen flaps and mounting brackets to accommodate different installation requirements.
Is Gray the Right Screen for Your Setup?
Consider High-Contrast Gray when some room lighting will remain on during play or your simulator space has outside light you cannot fully control. For a room where lighting can be substantially reduced, America’s Ultra White is also worth considering. Your projector’s light output and projected image size should be considered when choosing between the two.
Both screens offer triple-layer construction designed to help reduce impact noise. The main reason to choose between gray and white is how the projection surface suits your room and projector.
What’s Included - and What You Supply Separately
Your order includes one America’s High-Contrast Gray Golf Simulator Impact Screen Triple Layer in your selected dimensions, finished with a black border and grommets around all four sides, plus any optional customizations purchased with your screen.
The enclosure, support frame, projector, launch monitor and golf mat are sold separately.
Standard screen-attachment bungees and zip ties are not included. If you select a rear tensioning sleeve with an installed bungee, that bungee is part of the purchased customization.
Triple-Layer Construction & In-House Workmanship
A golf simulator impact screen must perform two jobs: receive repeated golf shots and provide a surface for projected images.
America’s High-Contrast Gray uses heavy-duty multilayer polyester/poly-spacer construction designed to support both golf-ball impact and projection. The gray surface is intended for detailed HD/4K projection and helps preserve perceived contrast where some ambient light is present, while the layered construction helps dampen impact sound during practice and play.
At America’s Golf Mats, we fabricate our golf simulator screens in-house. That gives our team control over cutting, sewing, border finishing and the addition of your selected customizations.
Our sewing team checks the details that affect appearance and fit, including dimensions, seams, black border finishing and grommet placement. Each screen receives a final inspection before shipment.
From a new home simulator to a replacement screen for an established indoor golf space, High-Contrast Gray brings together carefully finished construction, a gray projection surface and impact-sound reduction.
A Finished Appearance & Convenient Screen Attachment
A 2-inch black border surrounds all four sides of America’s High-Contrast Gray Triple Layer screen, framing the gray projection surface and giving your installation a finished appearance.
Black grommets are positioned approximately 12 inches apart along the top, bottom and both sides. These attachment points allow you to secure the screen around its perimeter to a compatible enclosure or suitable support frame.
Standard ball bungee cords or suitable zip ties can be used where appropriate for your installation. These attachment supplies are sold separately and are available from Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walmart and many local hardware stores.
Follow the installation instructions for your enclosure or support system when attaching and adjusting the screen.
Understanding Screen Size & Gray Viewing Area
Your selected screen-body dimensions include the black border. The gray viewing area is smaller because the border occupies 2 inches along each edge.
For example, a screen body measuring 8 feet high × 10 feet wide has a gray viewing area measuring:
7 feet 8 inches high × 9 feet 8 inches wide
The gray viewing area is therefore 4 inches smaller in total height and 4 inches smaller in total width than the screen body.
Use the screen-body dimensions, together with any pocket additions, to plan the screen’s fit within your installation. Use the gray viewing dimensions to plan the projected image and calculate the viewing-area aspect ratio.
